We've almost made it through our Lenten Journey! It was good to see some of you at the Maundy Thursday and Good Friday Services. One more day to "Watch and Pray" and then...
its.....EASTER!!!
A few quick updates for upcoming EYC events and activities:
Easter Morning: Those of you who would like to assist w the Egg Hunt are invited to meet Thomas on the front porch at the start of the 9am service for "bunny duty".
Sunday April 11th:
Graduating High school Seniors are invited to a luncheon to plan for the upcoming 3/18 Senior Recognition Day and Senior Sermons.
Our evening event will be the FolkPsalm concert in the nave at 6pm. See www.folkpsalm.com for more details. ( This is a church wide offering from a regional bluegrass band with at TWIST... parents and mentors siblings are invited).

Sunday April 18th
Asheville Tourist! Its "Church day" at McCormick field and tickets for the early afternoon ball game are only 3$ for church groups. More details soon.
Sunday April 25th
EARTH DAY Service Project at ABCCM Women and Children's shelter. We will be "greening up the scene" with funds raised from our past Earth Day Cafe Sales. Join us as we mulch the playground, plant flowers and build a composting bin for the shelter
A few reminders on Summer opportunities:
The Middle School Mission Trip with YOUTHWORKS! is set to take place the week of July 25th. Our destination is Birmingham Alabama. Cost is 250$ and our goal will be to share the expense with 1/3 paid by families, 1/3 in fundraising efforts and 1/3 in sponsorship from the EYC budget. There are only 7 spaces available. Reservation requires a 50$ deposit toward your payment for the trip. Checks can be made to All souls and ear tagged Youth mission. After May 1st any remaining spaces for the trip will be offered to the Asheville Deanery youth at large.
