EYC SKI DAY & other February Events
Hello Episcopal Youth Community! Here are a few important reminders for FEBRUARY EVENTS...
Sunday the 7th we have two tentative events planned:
Middle School are invited to the home of the Stevenson family for a Superbowl Party (5:50pm till after half time). Pizza and Ice cream Sunday provided! "Admission Cost" is donations of canned soup for Loving Food Resources.
Let me know if you are interested in attending and I will send details / directions to you by Friday.
Senior High are invited to attend a benefit for Haiti that will take place at White Horse Music Hall 2-6pm See the following link for more info on the show. http://www.whitehorseblackmountain.com/calendar/eventdisplay.php?id=878
Tickets will go at a comp rate to the first 8 senior high who contact shawna to RSVP at 777-0949
Sunday 14th
No official EYC event planned but there is a
Mardi-Gras parade down town Asheville Sunday afternoon that you and
your family might consider attending. See the following link for

SHROVE TUESDAY FEBRUARY 16th ( Help Wanted ) : ) !!!
EYC will once again be hosting the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper that will take place from 5:30 till 7pm. Parents and youth are ask to volunteer for a 2 hour time slot of either 4pm till 6pm or 5:30-7:30pm. Greeters, Decorators, Cooks, Servers & help w clean up are needed. ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TO THE YOUTH WORKS middle school MISSION TRIP to BIRMINGHAM ALABAMA and will be divided evenly as scholarship to the participants who sign up to help host the event. Trip
dates are July 25th - 30th. Cost is 250$ Deposit of 60$ is due on the
night of the pancake supper. Please let which shift you can serve at
this event.
17th Ash Wednesday Service
Sunday 21st is our Annual Diocesan SKI DAY!
We will be having Eucharist on the slopes and enjoying a half day of skiing or boarding at Cataloochee.
Our reservation list so far includes:
J.T. Rhoades, Tammy Melton, & myself as adult Chaperons
Ashely, Austen, Alex Melton (plus 8 friends of Austen) John & Milo Norlin, Anne Worth
If you would like to attend the ski day
and your name is not on this list....IT IS SUPER-DUPER important
that you call or email to reserve a spot no later than THIS THURSDAY in
order to receive the group rates we have been offered.

February 28th Chillin at the Church Lenten EYC dinner gathering and Creative art project
March 5th - 7th Spring Conference at Valle Crucis for all 8th -12th grade EYC
March 21st Taize pilgrims host presentation for Diocesan youth followed by Taize Worship service in the Nave
