ROOM IN THE INN ENDS A  SUCCESSFUL RUN IN '08

Almost 60 parishioners  contributed  in a  variety of ways to the success of the October 26 thru November  2  visit  by  several  appreciative women who are  in  some  stage of  homelessness.  The AHope Day
Shelter  coordinates  the  selection of  the  participants and  some  30  churches  in  the  Asheville/Buncombe area  share  the  rotating  “inn”  to  provide  housing, meals, and  lunches. But most  importantly,  hospitality,
smiles, and empathy are  the  ingredients  for providing assistance...and All Souls does it well! 

Thanks  to all who helped  in  so many ways  to the  success  of  the  week.  A  special  thanks  to  first-timers Nancy Stone, Vicki Hesse, Lisa Haupert, Robbin Whittington,  Betsy  Barefoot,  Jan  &  David  Garver,
Paul & Ginny  Thompson, and  representatives of  the Lectio Divina group led by Ginny Wilder. Our guests found  many  different  and  sincere  ways  to  express their appreciation to  the parish. There  is no doubt  in
our minds,  that  this ministry  is a  “hands on,” person-to-person ministry which grants,  to those who  sign up to help, a special opportunity to grow spiritually. We hope you will try it out in the coming year!
