Martha's Helpers

Martha’s Helpers reaches out to parishioners who need food by providing a meal, or more, when there is a need (sickness, surgery, new baby…).

Loretta Andrews and Babie Strobel have teamed up to coordinate this
ministry, and we are working together to develop what we hope will be a helpful and effective way of interconnecting members of our parish family.  We need your help to stock the shelf in the kitchen freezer!

We want  to  have a well-stocked  freezer at  the  church  so  that  food  can be delivered quickly when a need arises.  We need soups, stews, vegetables, and main dishes for one person, two or four people.  If you have an extra batch of food at home or are willing to cook specially for Martha’s Helpers, please package your items for freezing and label them with your name and the date.  (We want your name in case we have a question relating to someone’s dietary needs.)

Also, we want to have lists of people who are willing, with advance notice, to prepare a meal.  Please let us know if you could help with that.
