The Rev. Charlotte Cleghorn
Charlotte began her work as the Executive Director of the Centers for Christian Studies on September 1, 2005. Since coming to the diocese in 2002, Charlotte has been the Interim Priest at St. James, Hendersonville and Holy Family Mills River.
Charlotte attended Boston University as an undergraduate and received a Master of Religious Education in 1975. After nine years of chaplaincy work in private schools, she attended Virginia Theological Seminary where she received her M.Div in 1986. Since then, Charlotte has served parishes in Ohio, Maine, California and North Carolina. Her great passion is spiritual formation and education and she is delighted to be involved with the Centers as it evolves.
Charlotte is also a spiritual director and retreat leader as well as the trainer for the Parish Lay Discernment Committees for the Commission on Ministry. She also does supply work in the diocese. She enjoys tennis, golf, kayaking, gardening, reading, music and learning about fixing up her 80 year old house.
