Chancer came to work at All Souls in fall of 2007 as the webmaster for www.allsoulscathedral.org.
She has also worked as a computer support specialist for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and with a large downtown law firm.

Chancer is a native of Asheville. She graduated from Howard University in Washington DC with a degree in journalism.

After serving six years in the Army as a communications officer, she came back to her roots in the Asheville area where she eventually returned to AB Tech to complete training as a certified computer technician.

In addition to her work at the Cathedral, she currently runs a local web development and publishing company.
