Robbin Whittington
Robbin
joined the staff of the Cathedral in March 2010 as the Executive
Director of
the Center for Spiritual Resources (formerly the Centers for Christian
Studies). She also owns and manages R. Brent and Company, which she
established
in 1993 as a publishing and consulting company, producing and publishing
a wide
array of books and resources for enrichment, education, and inspiration.
For
the past 2.5 years, she has edited and published Daily
Practices for God's People, an interactive resource program inspired by
Bishop Taylor as a way
to live our Christian virtues, day by day.
Robbin graduated from Winona State University, Winona MN, with a degree in journalism and business. She is an associate member of the Association of Enneagram Teachers, completing section one of the Professional Enneagram Training Program, 2006, 2007; a member of NAECED (National Association for Episcopal Christian Education Directors); a productivity coach using the gtd (Getting Things Done) system. She is also a volunteer for Room In the Inn; gift coordinator for the annual Church of the Advocate Christmas party; and a book group member at the Cathedral.
A native of East Tennessee, where her family still lives, Robbin and her husband, Tom, live in East Asheville. She has two grown sons serving in the military. When she's not skyping with her sons, Robbin enjoys reading, hiking, and staying connected with family and friends.
