“Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares” – Hebrews 13:2 This scripture reflects the purpose of the Hospitality Committee: a group of individuals dedicated to welcoming “all souls” to All Souls. From organizing and managing funeral and other receptions, July 4 and Welcome Back picnics, to small gatherings after various services, we strive to create an atmosphere of warmth for everyone who graces our parish. Members of the hospitality committee usually serve for an hour or so in whichever capacity s/he chooses: setting up the room where the reception is being held, serving food and beverages, or cleaning up afterward. The amount of time and how many receptions a person chooses to work are totally up to the individual.
