Thomas Murphy joined the staff of the Cathedral of All Souls in the fall of 2006. Previously he worked as the assistant director of the Tennessee Justice Project and spent a year working at an orphanage in Honduras with the Young Adult Service Corps, a program run through the national church office. He also worked five summers as a counselor at Camp Henry. Thomas graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in religion, received his Master’s degree from Harvard Divinity School, and did work in Anglican Studies at Virginia Theological Seminary and Episcopal Divinity School before being ordained as a priest in 2010. Thomas and his wife Amanda live in South Asheville with their three children and spend every moment they can outdoors.
